A place of tears and temples: Katas

Katas or Katas Raj is a complex of Hindu temples near Chakwal in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The place is also sacred because of a pond located there, which according to Hindu mythology was formed by the tears of Lord Shiva. This brief documentary unveils some parts of Katas.

PML-N MNA denies sexual assualt charges: ISLAMABAD - Ayaz Amir, member of the National Assembly from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, has rejected sexual assault allegations made against him by Fouzia Behram, a Pakistan People’s Party member of the Punjab Assembly. Amir told Online that his political rivals were trying to damage his reputation by propagating that he had sexually assaulted a girl. “There is no substance to whatever allegation is being leveled against me. The victim has no medical evidence or witness to support her claim,” he said. Earlier, Behram, the alleged victim and her family had claimed at a press conference at the National Press Club that Amir had subjected the 14-year-old girl to sexual assault, and also accused the Chakwal Police of threatening the affected family with dire consequences. Zulfiqar Mirza resigns from all party/government posts

KARACHI: PPP leader Dr. Zulfikar Ali Mirza on Sunday announced to resign from the offices of Provincial Minister and Senior Vice President of PPP (Sindh), as well as Member of the Sindh Assembly. In a press conference at Karachi Press Club Sunday afternoon, Dr. Mirza explained that he had no differences with the leadership of the party. He would remain devoted to the party of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and his old friend and brother President Asif Ali Zardari. “My identity is PPP. Whatever I possess—offices and property- owes to Shaheed Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto,  and President  Asif Ali Zardari. I will work hard for PPP till my last day,” he remarked. Punjab Government’s “Punjab Rozgar Scheme” is going towards result round. First lucky draw of yellow cab scheme will be held on 29 August at 11:00 am. This lucky draw is for all applicants of Multan, Rawalpindi and Dera Ghazi Khan Divisions. Last date of submission was 15 august and more than 67,000 applications received.

CHAKWAL: Eight Azadar's injured in attack on Imambargah Hussainia

Amerpur Mangan Qazi Zahor leader of outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba along with his militant aides attacked Imambargah Husainia on 21st of Ramadan, eight Azadars were critically injured in the attack of Nasabi terrorists. According to the Shiite News Correspondent, They terrorists of Wahabi-Nasabi terrorists were chanting slogans against Ahlul-Bait(a.s) and then they were started stoning and firing over innocent azadar inside imambargah and ending it by burning Alaam.  Eight Azardars of Imam Ali (as) were critically wounded in the attack of Wahabi Nasabi terrorists and they were shifted to the nearest hospital immediatley.
