Latest News, Army, Rangers to control Chakwal during Moharram

Islamabad: Army and Rangers will be called to assist the District Administration Chakwal during the month of Moharram to maintain law and order situation.

This was told by DPO Chakwal Ali Mohsin Rizvi while briefing the high level meeting that was presided by Advisor to Chief Minister Raja Ishfaq Sarwar at Committee Room on Tuesday. Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Zahid Saeed, RPO Hamid Mukhtar Gondal, MPA Malik Tanvir Aslam, DCO Chakwal Tariq Waqar Bukshi and all the religious personalities from different school of thought were also present on this occasion. DPO further told that fool proof security arrangements have been finalized for Majalis and processions. The religious personalities assured the District Administration that peace, love, brotherhood and sectarian harmony would be observed during the month of Moharram. Moulana Mehmood-ul-Hassan Ghazanfar, Syed Ahmad Ali Shah, Abdul Shakoor Naqashbandi, Pir Riaz-ul-Hassan Shah, Moulana Abdul Haleem Naqashbandi, Chaudhary Muhammad Ali were also present on this occasion. Advisor Raja Ishfaq Sarwar speaking on this occasion urged religious leaders to convey the message of tolerance. He urged that the terrorist must have to be checked as these forces wanted to disrupt the law and order situation. He further told that security arrangements was adequate for the month of Moharram and some special measures have been adopted by the Punjab Government.
