WASINGTON -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that as an engineer he's sure the twin towers were not brought down by jetliners. Ahmadinejad, in an interview with The Associated Press, says it would have been impossible for two jetliners to bring down the towers simply by hitting them. he says some kind of planned explosion must have taken place. Ahmadinejad stopped short of saying the United States staged the disaster 10 years ago. But he says there are questions the world should resolve, and noted there are doubters in the United States as well. Ahmadinejad was denied his request last year to visit the site of the World Trade Center collapse. He says he's not making another attempt this year. He's in New York City for the U.N.   Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected laboratory owners’ plea to cancel govt orders of charging Rs.90 as dengue test fee. According to a private television channel, Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan of Lahore High Court started hearing on the petition. The report submitted in the court by Punjab health secretary maintained that Rs.90 for dengue test is suitable as the owners of the laboratories were looting people by charging large amount for the test. The laboratories owners took the stance that the machine for the test costs Rs 1 million while the fee charged as Rs 90 does not even meet the expenditure of the machinery. After hearing arguments from both parties, the court remarked that the masses cannot be deprived of the discounted facility of dengue test while Rs 90 is a suitable fee. The court rejected the petition after hearing arguments.

CHAKWAL, Sept 16: Seven people have tested positive while 33 are suspected of dengue in Chakwal, Executive District Officer Health Dr. Nasir Mehmood told Dawn on Friday. “The majority of the suspected are those who had traveled to Lahore and other affected areas during Eid holidays and contracted the virus there,” EDO Dr. Nasir maintained. However, unlike last year, the situation seems far better and under control. “We are doing our best to create awareness among the masses by distributing pamphlets, holding walks and through media,” he maintained. He said that health department had fumigated the vulnerable areas during spring season. “We have tried our best to eliminate the mosquitoes in their breeding stage by fogging,” he claimed. Chakwal Additional District and Sessions Judge Asghar Khan ordered City Police on Tuesday to register a case against PML-N MNA Ayaz Amir and six others for sexual assault on a 15-year-old married girl, Tabasum Farooq. According to the petition filed by her, she alleged that the Chakwal Police was reluctant to register a case against the MNA and the six ohers. Tabasum Farooq, thorough her lawyers, contended that the MNA and the six others sexually assaulted her at his residence. Haroon Irshad Janjua appeared on behalf of the MNA and said that the incident was stated to have occurred four months ago and that there was no medical report in favour of Tabasum Farooq and also that no one witnessed the incident.
