PPP to emerge victorious in next general election: Babar Awan


CHAKWAL, Oct 1 (APP): Former Law Minister, Senator Babar Awan on Saturday expressed the optimism that Pakistan People’s Party and its allies, would emerge victorious in all over the country, including province of Punjab in the next general election.Addressing a press conference here, he said that Pakistan People’s Party defeated PML-N in Gujranwala and Multan and in the next general elections it would also make a clean sweep in the Punjab province on the basis of its pro-people’s policies. He regretted that funds of Rs. 260 million allocated for dengue treatment and fumigation were being misused. He said the seriousness of provincial government could be adjudged from the fact that there was no health minister in the province.
Dr. Babar Awan said Punjab government was only holding photo sessions and not focusing on people’s problems. He said people in the province wanted political change for solution of their problems.
He said the Punjab government had not announced any mega project for Chakwal. He said Rs. 42 billion were being wasted on ‘Tandoor’ project.
He further said health and Southern Punjab budgets were being used for the construction of ‘Kalma Chowk’.
He was of the view that Punjab government was misappropriating billion of rupees in the name of ‘Ashiana’ Housing schemes and yellow cab projects.
Babar Awan said the Punjab government was filing false cases against opposition. He demanded for granting equal funds for Phothar and Southern Punjab regions.
He also announced establishing of university in Chakwal.
