CBT (Computer Based Test) of Proficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK) in 2011
According to the MOU on the Sending of Workers between the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea (MOEL) and the Ministry of Human Resources Development, CBT (Computer Based Test) of Proficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK) for Pakistanis to be conducted as follows.
All job seekers who want to work in Korea under the Employment Permit System should pass the EPS-TOPIK, implemented by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea) authorized by the OEC, and only those who passed the test shall be allowed to submit the job applications for EPS.

2. (Allowed) Type of Industry: Manufacturing only
○ All applicants of CBT EPS-TOPIK can choose only ‘Manufacturing ’for selection of the type of industry. Choice of other type of industry is not allowed.
3. The (expected) number of passers :1,470 persons
○ The selection will be made in the order of the high scores among the applicants who scored more than 80 points out of 200 points and as many as the number of ‘expected number of passers’will be selected based on their test results.
* The number of passers can be changed according to the Employment Permit System operating conditions

5. Qualifications (Eligibility)
○ Persons aged between 18 and 39
* Persons born between September 7, 1971 and September 6, 1993)
○ Persons who have not been convicted of imprisonment or heavier punishment
○ Persons who have no record of deportation or departure orders from the Republic of Korea
○ Persons who are not restricted from departure of home country

- Every applicant must fill in the pre-registration form and submit along with a clearly legible copy of Passport on the same day to OEC’s offices against receipt. All the relevant details are given on the pre-registration form/receipt.

□ Registration
○ Submit Applications : Selected 2,940 applicants can apply for the Registration
○ Period of Registration: September 6, 2011 to September 9, 2011(for 4 days)
- Registration hours: 09:00 ~ 16:00 (lunch break 13:00 – 14:00)
○ Registration Places in Each Regions : same places as mentioned for Pre-Registration
○ Required documents
- Application form (Free distribution at registration places)
* Application numbers are written on each application form, and one applicant can receive and submit one application form. If there is any error in an application form, correct it with correction fluid or tape and submit it.
- A color copy of passport
* A color copy of passport is required to be attached on the application form
* If an applicant’s personal information on the passport is not exactly the same as the one on the application form, their entry to Korea is not permitted in any case, and the applicant is fully responsible for any problem caused by the differences in their personal information. Therefore, applicants are strongly advised to make their passports before the registration, if possible.
* We only accept passport. Other certificates such as driver’s license, student’s card, certificate for those who have lost their ID card, etc. are not accepted.
* we will use the personal information (name, date of birth, and gender) written on the application form and the applicant’s photo attached on the application form for their future employment in Korean, and these are not changeable in any case.
- 2 color photographs of 3.5 x 4.5cm (taken within 6 months)
○ Registration fee : 2,100 Pak Rs (US $24 equivalent)
* It shall be paid by the 2,940 applicants at the time of registration.
* If an applicant who has unavoidable reasons to cancel his/her registration, the applicant can get full refund during registration period. (However, re-application after cancellation is not allowed)

○ Test Structure & Allotment of Scores and passing standard
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Listening and Reading test will be implemented continuously without a break.

- Passport
- All applicants are required to bring his/her passport of which is the same with the one posted on his/her application form.
※ No applicant is allowed to take the test without passport

○ Validity period of test result is 2 years (effect on the date of result)
9. Other Information
○ Have a valid passport for a minimum period of one year.
○ If CBT Test to proceed without any problem, registration for the year 2012 shall again be made in December, 2011
* but, registration Schedule can be changed according to Employment Permit System operating conditions.
○ On the test day, mobile phones, cassette players, PDA, MP3 player, electronic dictionaries, and other electronic devices which are possibly used in cheating during the test are highly prohibited for applicants to carry.
○ Test will be void, and examinees will NOT be eligible for taking the EPS-TOPIK for 2 years in case of cheating during the test.
○ If an applicant’s personal information on the passport is not exactly the same as the one on the application form (name, date of birth, and gender), their registration to the EPS job seekers’roster and entry to Korea is not permitted in any case, and the applicant is fully responsible for any problem caused by the differences in their personal information.
◈ Passing the EPS-TOPIK only guarantees the qualification for job application for EPS, and does not guarantee the employment in Korea. ◈ Moreover, persons who are restricted from the employment in Korea, such as those who do not pass the medical examination or who have the record of illegal stay in Korea, cannot be employed in Korea. |
◈ Pursuant to MOU between the Ministry of Employment and Labor of Republic of Korea and the Ministry of Human Resource Development, only "OEC" has the legal rights regarding sending Pakistani workforce to Korea.
◈ Only the job seekers who passed EPS- TOPIK and registered on the roster by OEC can be hired by Korean employers.
◈ If any other private sectors are involved in procedure for sending workforce, there will be the legal punishment for those acts.source:
