Special Olympics; national heroes return home

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani heroes, participants of Athens Special Olympics, returned home today, Geo News reported on Tuesday. National heroes arrived 18, 55 and 12 in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore respectively in separate flights. Family and friends received these athletes at the airports. According to details, 85 Pakistani athletes participated in the event and bagged 57 medals including 17 gold, 27 silver and 13 bronze. Most successful athlete Adeel Ameer won three gold medals. He was declared the fastest special athlete in the world. More than 7500 athletes from 180 countries participated in the event. source:
