Here in chakwal distt. has a huge source of natural salt. as all the minerals are of govt. property. But govt. leased his areas for salt production to the different companies, like wanhar salt corporation buchal kalan, m/s international coal company chakwal, malik khadim hussain khewra, m/s haroom mines etc.
