The Contribution of NGOs/Stakeholders
Albeit, Government is making sincere and cohesive efforts to lead the giant of public sector education to zenith of progress and attain the target of Millennium Development Goals in the ensuing decade, the Non Government Organizations are a robust ally to the Department of Education in expansion of educational facilities to all and sundry. In addition to in-service teacher training, the stake holders have considerable contributed to the uplift of physical facilities in schools.
Currently PLAN Pakistan and its subsidiary organization Mountain Institute of Education Development are prime partners of the Education Department. PLAN- MIED in partnership with Chakwal Educatioin Department is supporting 132 Primary/ Elementary/ High/ Higher Secondary Schools in Chakwal. MIED has also so far build the capacity of:
- Teachers 1070
- Head Teachers: 355
- A.E.Os: 25
- Officers: 05
- Awareness Sessions of School Councils: 90
MIED-PLAN partnership with Education Department in Chakwal spans over for 05 years.
