Muhammad Faiz Tamman who won on PML-N ticket from NA-61 (Chakwal-II) presented his resignation to the Speaker National Assembly, which she accepted. He cited personal reasons for it. Later, talking to media, Faiz Tamman said that he was not given importance in the party on which he has resigned. Tamman defeated Punjab former chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi in the polls of February 18, 2008.
